SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION

Here's how we increase the visibility of your website!

Through hard work, iMod Digital has established itself as one of the leading SEO agencies in South Africa. We’ve run successful SEO campaigns across many industries including Hospitality, Sport, Engineering, Retail, Technology and Finance to name a handful.

Our journey in SEO began many years ago and when we realised that it’s not just about your rank or how much traffic you get, but actually about getting quality traffic that leads to sales and enquiries, so did our agency begin to grow. See, we look at a business and we determine what makes that business grow. This allows us to truly target the right consumers, consumers with purchasing power that affect a businesses bottom line. It’s really quite simple.. if we get the right people to your website, your business will grow and we won’t be going anywhere!

LET'S DIG DEEPER

There are so many misconceptions about SEO, but just like any industry, when you get past these misconceptions and truly understand what it’s about, the power is unlocked. Let us give you an example: Gary Kirsten’s Cricket Academy approached us for assistance. Their knowledge of SEO was limited but they understood its importance. Over the course of a year, we doubled the number of people coming to the Academy website from search engines, we increased the website’s visibility in search engines by 400% and we increased the number of enquiries the website was receiving drastically. Gary and his team’s faith in us and SEO resulted in outstanding successes for their Academy.

It’s true though, for many years SEO really was about putting lots of keywords on a web page, it was about swapping links with other people and it was about writing lots of nonsense content. That was SEO in 2005, but not SEO these days, not by a long shot. Everything started to change several years ago when Google launched its algoritm updates, Panda and Penguin. Google has an algorithm, like a secret sauce, that determines where a website should appear in the search results. It’s up to this algorithm to determine which website’s are the best and which ones deserve the prominent position in front of consumers. The more refined and accurate the algorithm, the better a searchers experience and that’s ultimately Google’s business model at the end of the day. There are always people trying to game the system and it’s Google’s job to stay ahead of these crooks and it does it through these algorithm updates. These updates have become more and more frequent over the years and it’s for this reason that SEO has become increasingly important – your website needs to adapt and change accordingly to stay in line with the expectations set out by the algorithms.

Over the years that we’ve been assisting companies with their SEO, we’ve found our own secret sauce and we’ve called it DISECT. The aim of DISECT is to take a somewhat taboo practise and turn it into a practise that is more tangible. Our DISECT model is based on over a decade of working with companies both big and small. Our model provides a proven process that yields excellent results.

THE DISECT MODEL

The discovery phase involves a collection of audits and tests to determine areas where your websites might be suffering, but also to identify where it is performing well. Our audits consist of three different areas, namely: a content audit, a trust audit and a technical audit. These audits include a deep analysis of competitors. On top of discovering what is wrong and what is right, we step up Google Analytics with our custom iMod Digital Reporting Dashboards, we configure a Google Search Console account and ensure that goal tracking is correctly implemented with effective reporting. This phase allows us to extract everything required to establish a sound search engine friendly foundation for your website and sets your website up to fully benefit from any further online marketing.

This phase involves the implementation of the items found within the Discovery phase to ensure that the entire website has a solid foundation and is search engine friendly, and ready. The Implementation phase may require site architecture changes and involves us getting our hands dirty and diving into the code and/or dealing with your development department/partner. This process ensures that search engines view your website the way it should be viewed. By the end of the this phase your website will have an incredibly strong foundation and should result in greater indexation, slight ranking improvements and stronger visibility within the search engines.

Now that we have a sound foundation to build upon, our next step is to study the trust audit, competitor analysis and statistics we’ve gathered. Every website is different, there is no one size fits all when it comes to search engine optimisation so it is up to us to determine what the website requires in order to get the best return on investment. To achieve this, we have developed a comprehensive strategic approach to a website that includes suggestions and enhancements including factors such as user experience and journey, link building, content marketing, content strategy, social media activation and other inbound marketing approaches.

With a strategy at hand, we now need to put this into action. Because each strategy is different, the approach is always different which makes it difficult to give a defined explanation around this phase. However, we work closely with our partners to ensure that they are aware of what needs to be done, both internally and externally. We train and educate for internal requirements and we execute externally to ensure that all parties involved are working towards the same goal. The execution of the strategy phase focuses around building your brands presence online and exploiting the statistical findings to our advantage.

At this point we have a search engine friendly website that has wheels which are turning. We’re looking at the progress of the campaign, we’re studying the results achieved and we’re continually reviewing where the website stands. It’s usually during the consolidation phase that we start to see how things are shaping up and we start to see strong movements. Often during this phase we’re revisiting the audits and implementation thereof and reviewing everything continually against what Google is doing, especially if a new algorithm update has been released.

During the entire process we put a priority on managing our partners correctly through transparent and frequent communication. Each month we provide a report, our reports are not generated by a computer but rather by someone in the team who is highly familiar with the website in question.

If our model and process sounds like a good fit for your business, please use the form on the right to make contact with us and let’s discuss how we’re going to grow your website’s visibility.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL

To me, iMod Digital did not feel like an agency, but rather an integrated team of Henley & Partners. The agency’s dedication was especially paramount when they were able to build websites under seemingly impossible timeframes and deadlines.
