The Dewani Trial & A Quick Loadshedding Update

With the recent update into the Dewani murder trial, we were not at all surprised to find the topic trending on both Twitter and Google. In case you somehow haven’t heard Judge Jeanette Traverso threw the case out on Monday and has stated that the evidence presented by the prosecution fell “far below the threshold” of what a reasonable court could convict on. Anni Dewani’s uncle, Ashok Hindocha said the family would be going through the case with their lawyers to confirm whether they can file a lawsuit against Mr Dewani in the UK .

An update on loadshedding. Eskom have stated that no loadshedding will take place this afternoon, but that it may take place this evening. Spokesman Andrew Etzinger said ,”We are not expecting load shedding during the day but we could be constrained in the evening.” . Yesterday Eskom chief executive Tshediso Matona apologised profusely for load shedding and stated that “The week ahead will be very tight, with a medium risk of load shedding, and a high risk on Thursday and Friday.”
